REVIEW – Jeffrey Gitomer – The Little Black Book of Connections
I’m always on the lookout for new books to read and new ways of doing things. A lot of what I’m doing at the moment revolves around Internet Marketing (IM). Jeffrey Gitomer is a sales guy and more than that he is a teacher of sales guys and gals. I have a few of his books now and they are very entertaining reading.
The little black book of connections deals with one of the most powerful ways of getting anything done, Networks. No I don’t mean TCP/IP stacks, but people networks. This book, while to some extent focuses on selling yourself at conferences, has a far wider reach.
I have received my best job offers through networks, business deals and partnerships happen mostly through networks. So much happens with friends dealing with friends that you cannot discount the power of a good network. Jeffrey shows in easy steps how to get yourself out there and more so, how to get people to start coming to you.
It’s a very entertaining read and Jeffrey offers a heap of extra material that is available through his website.
