When my husband and I figured out that our bikini top was a dud for apartment living we went searching for other options and found the SpiderWeb Shade Top
. We put it on the car for the first time on Friday and it took us five minutes. We both started to watch the video but lost patience with it. Putting the top on is a lot less involved than what the video makes it out to be. You don’t have to stand on top of bumper look at it and pat it a million times; just attach it and go.

I was a bit skeptical about the advertisements claim of reducing the temperature in the car by 32% but was surprisingly shocked to find out it does. The Jeep sat out in the sun for six hours in 90 degree heat and it was surprisingly cool when we went to get in. The metal buckles on my children’s car seats were cool to the touch; they are usually boiling within minutes.

Another bonus with the SpiderWeb
is the reduction in noise levels. With my windows rolled up and the shade top on it is much quieter driving on the freeway than it is with my soft top on. I actually had a phone conversation with my husband flying down the freeway and was able to hear him; I can’t do that with the soft top up.

I love this top, it’s my favorite Jeep accessory and for any family with young kids I’d say it is a must have item. The top looks great on, is easy to install and a huge bonus for anyone who does not have covered parking the soft top can go up over the SpiderWeb
. It is great for those times you get caught out in the rain and need to throw the soft top up in a hurry.

Here’s a picture from the back. I love how it comes down in the back and gives my son who is rear facing extra protection from the sun. You can see how sunny it is outside and how protected the interior is.

This is a picture looking up; it keeps the suns harmful rays out and still lets in a fair amount of light. It’s the next best thing to being completely topless.
